The Challenge

NSW Health understood that certain conditions could determine patient deterioration within ICUs. They wished to identify the causal variables and predict when patient deterioration could occur.

The Solution

NSW Health provided timeseries data output from the sensors collected in the ICUs

The algorithms were able to determine when a causal impact happened between vitals’ sensors allowing health outcomes and treatment to be predicted.

The Results

From causal analysis of many variables and ten patients, the analysis was showing signs of success as we were able to determine what three variables most impacted a causal variable that directly impacted patient deterioration.
